Stacking the Shelves #6

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews where you can share books obtained via the bookstore, the library, online, through trade, borrowed from friends, gifted and/or received for review that you're adding to your shelf.
(pssst, if you click on the cover of the books it'll take you the Goodreads page!)

-Special thanks to my favs, Momo @ Books Over Boys and Jena @ Shortie-Says for recommendations of Crash, Reflection and Wrong Bed, Right Guy!

From my boyfriend, who is awesome <3

And then on Tuesday, I went to a signing for Kiersten White's Endlessly which also had appearances from Marie Lu, Cynthia Hand and Robin LaFEVERS!

I wish I could tell you I took a lot of pictures, but I did not. I only had my handy iPhone and the darn thing has no zoom and is crappy as hell! But if you want more scoop on the event, Arianne wrote up a beautiful post HERE

I did have an AMAZING time. I was so thrilled to meet Kiersten again :) Like always, she's super nice and just adorable. Also, I was thrilled to see Cynthia Hand since I missed her the last time she was in the city. And Marie Lu was amaaaazing. She loved my name *blushes* and of course, Robin LaFEVERS is always epic! I got a chance to meet her the first time around the LA Times Festival of Books!

All the books I got signed! :)

Random Notes during the event!
  • Watership Down was one of Marie Lu's favorite books, but it's also a book that traumatized Cynthia Hand!
  • Fantasy was all the four authors first (genre) love.
  • Grave Mercy was not the authors first pick as a title. It was Nightshade and Dark Mercy. Both didn't work.
  • Unearthly was originally called Angel Blood. It was much harder process to title Book 2 and Book 3.
  • Legend by Marie Lu was first called Republic while Prodigy was first called Patriot! Marie Lu is supposedly terrible at coming up with titles! LOL
  • Kiersten got to pick her titles, but Book 2 was originally called Extraordinarily while Book 3 was Supernaturally.
  • Dark Triumph (Book 2 in the His Fair Assassin trilogy) is borderline psychotic, said by Robin LaFevers.
  • During the event, Marie Lu said she just finished and sent of chapter one for Book 3 in the Legend trilogy.
  • Mind Games by Kiersten White is definitely darker
  • Tucker will get less page time in book 3, Boundless, than Christian, but both will have more page time in general! (I was pretty much crushed! TEAM TUCKER)

And some swag I got through the week and from the signing!

And that's it.
Let me know what you got this week!
